English Laurel Shrub Leaves Are Brown After Severe Winter

Question From: C. Whitmore - Wadesville, Indiana, United States
Q: I have 5 English Laurel (Otto Luyken) shrubs that face east, bordering my home. We had a relentless cold winter in southern Indiana (zone 6a). All leaves on these shrubs are brown. Stems now dead. What should I do?

Be patient and see of you have new growth. You may be surprised. Our shrubs are a good month behind. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
