Every Year At End Of Summer Impatiens Start To Die

Question From: Aurora, Colorado, United States
Q: Every year at about this time our impatience start to die--why?

I believe they have contracted impatiens downy mildew. Sadly there is no cure. In Michigan few people grow them. SunPatiens and New Guineas are now the flowers of choice.
