Q: the bush does not flower in spring lately
A: Ed, The flower buds form in late summer and overwinter if all goes well. Our wacky weather patterns sudden drop of tempertures below freezing before the plants are fully dormant, early warm up followed by a deep freeze can kill the flower buds. Do not compensate by fertlizing. To much nitrogen will also result in all leaves and no flowers.. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
