Question From: C. Borgers - Powell, Tennessee, United States
Q: I have three forsythia bushes, planted a little over a year ago. One of them has leaves that are turning dark purple - it doesn't look healthy, and it doesn't look like the others, which have nice green foliage. Pictures are attached. What's causing this and how can I fix it?

A: My guess is your bush is suffering from the fungal disease called Forsythia leaf blight. Take samples of the leaves to a good independent garden center for a more accurate ID and method of control. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
