Grass Has White Mold After Being Covered By Snow

Question From: D. Grubb - Macomb, Michigan, United States
Q: When the snow melted this week, there is a kind of white mold on the grass where the snow was piled. I live in Macomb Township. Should I get out there today and rake those patches of mold. If I leave them alone, will they kill the grass? Thank you.

You have snow mold. When the sod has drained lightly rake the infected areas. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
