A: Jim, If by lifting you mean your turf can be rolled up like a carpet you have a heavy infestation of grubs. There are lots of product you can use such as GrubEx. But timing is key. Talk to the grass specialist at a good independent garden center. I would also check with your county horticulture extension agent. Do be sure your rootless turf stays well watered and use a good slow release fertilizer organic that is not too high in nitrogen. You need to develop roots not shoots. Neptune's Harvest has a new liquid turf fertilizer that would be a good choice. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
