Grass Turns Greyish Then Dries Out And Dies In Certain Spots Each Year

Question From: d. oberman - Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States
Q: my grass turns grayish lookig in certain spots then it dries out and dies. this happens in the same areas every year same time. some are large areas where bermuda grass grows offand on as the year dries out.the plants dont totally die but are gone for the year. i doesnt happen in the front yard just the back craziest thing.im thinking it must be mildew orfungus its not a bug.i havent treated it because i didnt want to get rid of the good bugs just this darn epidemic stuff thank you any thoughts on this

I would try spraying it with a product called Actinovate according to package directions. It is a beneficial bacteria that is organic, OMRI listed and safe for the environment. You can buy it on Amazon.com. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
