Hemlock Tree Has No New Growth And Needles Are Turning Brown And Dropping

Question From: Weaverville, North Carolina, United States
Q: I have a hemlock tree that has no new growth, it is app. 75 ft. tall, close to others that appear to be normal. We recently noticed the needles turning brown and falling. This stand of hemlock trees were all planted at the same time over thirty years ago.

John, You need to have a professional, a certified arborist do an on-site inspection to get an accruate diagnosis. Good Luck, Nancy and Happy Yardening.
