Home Solutions For Feeding Roses

Question From: MICHIGAN
Q: rose food solutions in stores are too expensive. What solutions can i make at home 2 feed my roses

Home made compost made from kitchen scraps and yard waste works well. Dried banana peels provide potassium. Used coffee grounds and crushed egg shells work. Before the invention of chemical fertilizers, home gardeners used human urine. It's sterile so if used "fresh" there are no health issues. One English granny said a few drops of her night water in a watering can full of water was the secret to her lovely roses. Let me know how you do. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
