Honeysuckle Bush Is Dying From Inside Out

Question From: C. Wyant - Delphos, Ohio, United States
Q: My honeysuckle bush is 3 yrs old. It bloomed this year and all was fine. Now 2ks it looks like it is dying from the inside out. There is healthy leaves and blossoms at ends but in middle it is appears to be dead.

A: My guess is you have a fungus called honeysuckle leaf blight. The plant should be treated with a fungicide, such as Daconil, and all the infected foliage removed, including all the leaves on the ground. Bag them up and throw them in the trash. Follow the package directions and be sure to spray the undersides of the leaves. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
