How Long Can Broccoli Be Stored Before Freezing

Question From: B. Verlanic - Deer Lodge, Montana, United States
Q: How long can I store the broccoli after picking before I freeze it, also what is the best way to store it. I picked one and placed it in fridge overnight and it wilted.

A: The best time to harvest is early in the morning. Mist it and wrap in newspaper and store it in the vegetable drawer in the refrigerator . It will keep for a couple of days, but the sooner you freeze it the better. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
