How Much To Water An Ornamental Elm

Question From: WASHINGTON
Q: just bought an elemental elm, husband is planting now. just need to know how much to water initially and there after

Water it enough to keep the soil in the root ball moist at all times, but not soggy. It needs 5 to 10 gallons a week depending on the type of soil you have. You can divide it up into more then a single watering. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
