How Old Would Newly Purchased Liriope Muscari Tree Be

Question From: M. Sherman - Norfolk, Virginia, United States
Q: I am applying to plant Liriope Muscari in a historic district and have to provide the age of whatever I plant. How old would Liriope plants that I pick up at a local garden center likely be? 1 year or less? thanks for your help.

The answer is probably less than a year. But I don't think they are looking for the actual age of the plant. I think what they are looking for is the year it was introduced into the gardens of your historic area. Check with your historic committee for that information. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
