How To Estimate Value Of Full Grown Trees For Insurance Purposes

Question From: TENNESSEE
Q: Nancy, We lost a full grown elm tree and a full grown magnolia tree in a fire. insurance will cover but wants a estimated value for each. Both were healthy trees. The elm was 30 to 40 years old and the magnolia was the same. Can you help me?

I recommend you contact a landscape contractor in your area that sells and installs large trees. Best to get a couple estimates of the value of the existing trees and replacements. Do not forget the cost for removal and installation. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
