Rick, Hollytone is perfect for boxwoods. I fertilize once a year, so you are good to go. Best time to prune is late winter for very early spring so new growth will cover the cuts. Q: I put holly tone on our boxwoods just prior to dec rain. Is this a bad fertilizer for these plants. what is remediation strategy. what is best time of year to prune for shape?
