How To Get Rid Of Fleas Without Harming House Cats

Question From: A. Clayton - Liberty, Tennessee, United States
Q: Nancy, My major problem is fleas on my indoor cats. Collars will irritate their already scratched necks; the flea control from the vet does not work; and we have tried the Zodiak powder, also with no results. I live in Tennessee where heat and high humidity prevail. I also have 4 dogs, (those we can dip), that this year seems to be a bad one for fleas for them as well. Any best helps that won't hurt the cats?

Sorry Ann, I have no direct experience with that problem. Looking online it seems that Diatomaceous Earth (DE) might work well if applied carefully (avoid breathing dust) to your pets and your home - search online for application tips. Please let us know how it works for you. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
