Q: I'm wondering if i have a vole or two in my yard. i was mowing in deep grass and i saw 2 things run. they looked similar to a hamster but little bigger. couldn't see if there was a tail cuz of grass & running. do they normally burrow next to foundation of house? i see several holes now, and they've attracted a dang snake !!!! they may be breeding now, do you know? i need to get rid of these BADLY.... please help if you can, ty in advance :-)
A: Research/google identifying and getting rid of voles. They do not attract snakes, An effective and safe tool is a Rat Zapper. A trap that electrocutes them. Peanut butter works well. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
