How To Incorporate Wood Ash From Fireplace Into Garden Soil

Question From: M. Collet - Plymouth, Michigan, United States
Q: How should I incorporate wood ash, from my fireplace, into my garden beds.

Before adding wood ash, you should get a soil test. Wood ash increases the pH of the soil as well as adding potassium. If and how much to add would be determined by the test. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
