Q: My pachysandra has flourished over years. It's high and thick and spread over where I original boundaries. Can I shear it on top for a neater appearance? How best to redefine the original boundaries by taking some out?
A: Set your lawn mower at the highest setting and mow the area. This is best done in early spring.. Use a sharp spade to renew the edge.. You will have to remove the plants outside the "edge" and plant grass seed. Google "how to edge a garden bed" for a video tutorial.Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
