How To Overwinter Potted Andromeda

Question From: Ballwin, Missouri, United States
Q: My Andromeda is now in a big pot, as I have moved it from NY to MO. Can I keep it outside over the winter? Since it is potted, I could move it indoors. However, I do not have a garden spot in the ground for it just yet.

I recommend you move it to a protected area such as a covered porch or an unheated garage. Be sure to keep the soil moist. A hand full of ice cubes on the surface of the soil every few weeks should do the job. A finger knuckle deep in the soil should find the soil moist. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
