How To Protect Outdoor Rose Bushes During Cold Winter

Question From: c. henn - Pennsylvania, United States
Q: My rose bushes are in containers on my deck. They cannot be carried down the deck steps and put in the garage over winter and must be kept on the deck. Since the deck is off the ground and it is very windy what should I do to protect the roses from the cold PA winters?

Build a protective hutch around them. A wooden frame covered in bubble warp and then cover in a blue plastic tarp. Then pray it does not go down to 20 below zero. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
