How To Protect Rhododendron And Hostas From Slugs And Weevils

Question From: NEW YORK
Q: What to do to prevent slugs or weevils from attacking Rhodedendron and hostas?

A product containing iron phosphate will take care of the slugs. It's sold under the names of Sluggo or Bonide Slug Magic. It is organic and environmentally friendly. For black vine weevils use Bonide's annual tree and shrub insect control with Systemaxx. It's a systemic that is used as a soil drench once a year. Happy Yardening, Nancy
