How To Prune A Balloon Flower Perennial

Question From: Haymarket, Virginia, United States
Q: How to prune a balloon flower perennial

If there are no more buds on the plant cut back all the tall growth but leave enough basal growth so the plant has leaves to feed itself. If you still have buds on the plant dead head by cutting the spent flower stalk back to the stem or just about the point where the new flower bud is emerging. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
