How To Reduce Mess From Mature Linden Tree

Question From: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States
Q: I have a mature Linden tree probably 30-40' tall. This year ( Colorado) the Linden has bloomed immensely this year 2018 wonderful fragrance, but the after math for all Summer has been such a mess and constant. Droppings of everything has been ongoing. It is now end of August and we are still blowing the "stuff" and droppings from the Linden. My question is how can we slow down if possible the pollination process so we don't have so much "stuff" to clean up on a daily activity.

To my knowledge there is nothing you can do. My guess is the tree is under stress from weather conditions and trees react by producing excessive amounts of seeds. It's Mother Natures way for protecting the species. I suggest you get and onside inspection from a certified arborist for advice. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zip code.
