How To Remove Grass From Flower Beds Without Harming Plants

Question From: S. Lupu - Eastpointe, Michigan, United States
Q: How can I get grass out of my flower beds without harming the plants?

Pull it and then mulch with 3 to 4 inches of organic mulch. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy

Comment: thanks for your reply. However I have smaller decorative rocks in my flower beds so mulch won't work. Do you have any other suggestions?

Preen,a pre-emergent available at garden centers, online, and big boxes will keep seeds from sprouting, Those that have already sprouted will need to be pulled or hand paint the leaves with Round Up. It kills or damages any plant it touches so be very careful when using it. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
