Q: My hanging impatiens which I buy in June start dropping flowers right away. Should I give them a lot of water when the soil feels really dry or should I give a smail amout of water every day? The leaves also turn yellow sometimes. Thanks.
A: Water them until the water drips out the drainage holes. Impatiens don't like to dry out so aim to keep the soil moist at all times. Fertilize them with a water soluble fertilizer such as Jack's Classic every two weeks. Water the plant first and then apply the fertilizer according to package directions.
