Question From: J. Rizzo - Natick, Massachusetts, United States
Q: My hanging impatiens which I buy in June start dropping flowers right away. Should I give them a lot of water when the soil feels really dry or should I give a smail amout of water every day? The leaves also turn yellow sometimes. Thanks.
Water them until the water drips out the drainage holes. Impatiens don't like to dry out so aim to keep the soil moist at all times. Fertilize them with a water soluble fertilizer such as Jack's Classic every two weeks. Water the plant first and then apply the fertilizer according to package directions.
