Question From: N. Ghaida - Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: I just did pruning on my boxwood hedge, whithout knowing that fall is not the right time to do so ;"(. I live in Pennsylvania, how can I protect them from the winter, I have lots, and long hedges ;(.... please help. Thank you
A: Take a deep breath and relax. Do not fertilize them, but be sure to keep them well watered until the ground freezes. Spraying the exposed tops and sides with Wilt Pruf may also be helpful. It can be applied anytime when it will not freeze within three hours, giving it a chance to dry. Around Thanksgiving is a good time. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
