Hyacinth Bulb Shoots Are Yellow

Question From: E. McDonald - Valparaiso, Indiana, United States
Q: Hi Nancy, By mistake, a thick layer of fallen leaves were just cleared off of an area where numerous hyacinth bulbs were planted last fall. Many of the emerging shoots are yellow, but otherwise still growing. Should they recover, turn green and bloom, or are they doomed at this point? Are they yellow from a lack of sunlight, or from being too damp, or both?? Should I do anything to assist them now? Thank you for your time!!

A: Be patient and they will be fine. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
