Hydrangea Plants Are Healthy But Do Not Bloom

Question From: Warren, Michigan, United States
Q: My hydrangrea plants are very healthy but they don't have any blooms, I have an old plant that didn't bloom for a few years and two years ago it bloomed so full you couldn't even hardly see the green leaves, what can I do to get them to bloom.

A: Judy, I need to know what kind of hydrangeas you grow. Answer depends on the variety. Could be timing of pruning. Could be winter kill. Could be too little sun or too much fertilizer. Could be all of the above. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
