Q: HYDRANGEAS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL THIS YEAR AFTER OUR HARD WINTER. NOT ONLY NUMEROUS BLOOMS BUT LARGE IN SIZE ,BUSH,TREE, ETC IS THERE AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS?
A: I think they were in fear of dying after the harsh winter. Stressed plants often bloom profusely - it's their way to guarantee succession. My rose of sharon also went crazy after leafing out very late. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
