Impatiens Have Spots On Leaves

Q: Hi -please tell me what I need to do to help this flower- they were beautiful - I plant them and this is what has happened. I have had such beautiful ones in the past - I have never had this happen before.

A: I believe your plant has a fungal disease called leaf spot. Take sample of the infected leaves to your local independent garden center or nursery for more accurate ID and method of control. Be sure to water your plants in the morning and avoid watering overhead. If you choose to use a fungicide be sure to spray the undersides of the leaves. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
