Q: We have to dogs: Lagotto Romagnolos (truffle dogs). Will the spinosad chemical spray used to control the gypsy moth caterpillars be hazardous to our dogs?
A: Keep the dogs out of the area until the product dries and there will be no problem. Spinosad is not a poison. That said, any chemical inhaled is not good for man nor beast. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
