Question From: Mesa, Arizona, United States
Q: I have a baby Italian Stone Pine tree I got as a Christmas gift. I transplanted it into a clear, glass container. It was doing ok until last week. Now, the tips of the branches have drooped right over. Instructions say to keep moist, which I do. It is kept in house (out of direct AZ sun). We are planning on taking this back to central IL in May. Any suggestions?
A: Does the container have a drainage hole? The soil may be too wet if there is no drainage. Also this plant likes sun so move it to a brighter location. It is only hardy to zone 7 so you will probably have to bring it inside in winter. Happy Yardening, Nancy
