Question From: MASSACHUSETTS
Q: We had a lot of tree work done and it was necessary to drive their truck over ivy that covers a significant area in our front yard. My question is will the ivy survive and have new growth this season. I'm in the process of raking out the browned out leaves. Should I apply a fertilizer?
A: I don't have a crystal ball. I would take a garden fork and drive it into the soil and rock it gently and lift a bit to try and loosen the soil that is badly compacted. You can fertilize it with Espoma Plant Tone when you see new growth beginning to emerge. Also, do keep the soil moderately moist. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
