Q: Thank you for taking my question. I have a Japanese Iris and it flowered for two seasons but last season it didn't flower but tall spikes grew and had a few little small like seeds at the top of the spikes. It has very healthy and strong leaves. It is in a pot and I stand it in a container so that it has plenty of water.

A: I do not have a crystal ball, but the two most common reasons for lack of flowering is lack of sun and/or too much fertilizer. A late spring freeze will also prevent flowering. Your iris may also need to be divided. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
