Japanese Wisteria Seems Healthy But Does Not Bloom

Question From: G. Bennette - OREGON
Q: we have had a Japanese wisteria for 4 years and it has never bloomed. The plant seems healthy and vigorous but no flowers.

A:

Not unusual. Takes time for them to mature. However, inexpensive plants grown from seed often fail to bloom. Don't baby it. Some folks have luck just letting nature take its course. I always recommend folks buy a plant when in bloom to guarantee a show. Happy Yardening, Nancy
