Juniper Bushes Have Light Green Tips

Question From: T. Sperry - NEW MEXICO
Q: We planted some juniper bushes along the south side of our church last summer. The bushes have been watered at least weekly. Now they have some very light-green tips on them; is this a concern? This is in NE Albuquerque, maybe 5600 feet altitude.

New growth is light to yellow green and darkens as it ages. But you might ask the advice of a certified arborist in your area. I live in Michgan and our evergreens are dormant at this time. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
