Keeping Fir Trees Healthy

Question From: R. Wobig - Lincoln, Nebraska, United States
Q: I have fir trees. Is there something I can feed them to keep them healthy? Some were planted 2 years ago, and some last year. I think a couple may be dying. Any way to save them? We are in Nebraska. Thank you.

Trees do not die from lack of fertilizer in two years. It's usually a cultural problem. Too much water, poor drainage, lack of water or lack of sun are usually the big problems.
