Lambs Ear Leaves Have Large Holes And Some Are Stripped Or Eaten To Stem

Question From: NORTH CAROLINA
Q: i have a large lambs ear that is or was healthy and vigorous overnight something attacked it. there are holes 2x3" in the leaves some leaves were stripped or eaten to the main stem the poor plant. not just one but a few leaves.HELP r there any animals or pests that would cause this???

A: Intersting, Deer don't eat them, and I've never had rabbits chomp on them either. Maybe a woodchuck took a fancy to them. Only thing I know that deters them is human urine. Good Luck and Happy Yardening, Nancy
