Larch Tree Has Bare Areas With No New Growth

Q: Hello, my larch tree has an area in the middle of the tree that is bare of any branches and no new growth is visual. I t has been this way for several years and I do not know what do do to promote growth in that area. There has been several other areas that the tree has sprouted new branches both top and bottom of the bare area. IS there anything that can be done?
