Q: my large pine tree is shedding small new branches about 6 inches in length. The tree looks Heathy but the the area around the tree has hundreds of fallen heathy green new growth branch 6 inches in length. They seem to have just broken off the main branches. The tree is about 40 feet tall and I have two other pine trees next to it that are not shedding. I live in toronto, Canada

Alfredo, I would have a certified arborist do an onsite inspection. Pine trees have lots of issues today and sometimes one problem will mask another. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
