Question From: H. Smiles - Sunderland, , United Kingdom
Q: The leaves of my Kilmarnock willow have developed green lumps on them. Can you advise please?
A: Those bump are called gauls and are made by small insects. In very large numbers they may harm the tree after several season. But generally they do little harm. Timing of control is difficult as it must be done before the injury in evident. For more information contact a professional tree care expert in your area. Best Nancy
