Question From: N. werner - Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States
Q: Hi - I have a large ( 12' X 5 ') patch of pachysandra, which I started ~ 24 years ago. It is under a mature pine tree. It has been healthy and spreading, green through this winter until early April, when it suddenly became yellowed and dead-appearing. The stems closest to the ground are still green, and the outer circle of the patch looks good. Other plants within the perimeter are healthy ( azaleas, False Indigo ). There are no indicators of parasites, no browning before the yellowing, no spots on the leaves. HELP - I'm afraid I'll lose this patch -
A: Could be winter kill Nancy
