Lemon Tree Does Not Get Much Fruit

Question From: J. Holroyd - Beverly Hills, California, United States
Q: My lemon tree does not produce much fruit. I have chopped it back quite a bit over the years - it is about 8 years old - to get rid of gore wasp. But now I am just leaving it to grow to see if this helps get more fruit.

A: I have no experience growing citrus, but I have a friend who has grown one in a green house here in Michigan for over 20 years. She fertilizes it with Espoma Citrus Tone once a year. Some years are much better than others, but it produces oranges every year. Sun and water are of course key elements. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
