Liberty Apple Tree Apples Fall Off Before They Mature

Question From: L. Brigan - Vergennes, Vermont, United States
Q: We have 2 liberty apple trees that produce lots of apples but seem to fall off both trees before they are mature. This has happened year after year. Any ideas??

Lynn, when trees produce too many apples, Mother Nature thins the crowd, resulting in fruit drop. Hand thinning - that is removing small apples from cluster so only one remains will result in a better harvest. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
