Q: Lonicera (hybrid) growing in a24" container on a roof deck. Container in partial shade . Vigorous growth when planted last year. This year leaves shriveled somewhat with some small black spots on underside of leaves, growth stopped. Is this likely a fungus and is there a remedy?
A: It probably is a fungus. Take a sample to your local independent garden center or nursery for an accurate Id. They will be able to recommend a fungicide. Water it at the base of the plant and be sure to keep the soil moist but not sodden, Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
