Q: my indoor plant's lower stalk is brown and almost lifeless, but upper portions are green and thick - what's wrong?
A: Shari, The surface of the lower stalk is aging - think of trees that start out with green stems that change to bark as they age. Take a photo of your plant to a garden center that sells house plants for indentification and info on how to grow it. Happy Yardening, Nancy
