Maple Like Spinning Seeds

Question From: Livonia, Michigan, United States
Q: What are these small spinners that come by the hundreds or more... they seem to come from every direction...just like maple spinners but smaller...1-1/8" long X3/8 wide on the wing with a seed about 3/16" high x 5/16" long and dark brown color ( That's the seed ) the wing is a very a light green tone. I can mail a photo if it would help! Thanks

They are maple tree seeds. There are over a hundred varieties of Maples. Japanese Maples produce smaller seeds. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
