Q: It was interesting to read your column in today's Homestyle section about the temperature's affect on leaves. I have noticed SO MANY seed pods from my maple trees this year. I know that's an indication of stress. Did the extreme temperature fluctuations cause that to happen, too?
Yes. Between drought like conditions and weather extremes plants, including trees produce an abundance of seeds to insure endurance. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
