Q: My merigolds look like seed pods they are not opening to flower. they are just sittig there went to Steins garden center and all they did was try to sell me more fertilizer. A: Your marigolds have blossom bud rot, a fungal disease called Alternarria dianthi, You may try treating them with a broad spectrum fungicide, At this point I would remove them and replace them with mums. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
